EMAX RaceSpec 2205 2300KV Motor
EMAX RS2205 RaceSpec Motor
This is one of the recommended motors for the ImpulseRC RR5 Alien Kit.
These Emax “Red Bottoms” are an economical alternative to the Lumenier 2206 2350KV Motor. Chad Nowak started flying these just to test them, but ended up liking them a lot!
The manufacturer claims the unique fins machined into the bell draw up cool air from the motor base. The faster it spins, the more air it ventilates. Cooling fins significantly reduce heat soak by at least 30%. This “cool” feature allows the RS2205 to last longer.
The Red Bottom motors also use high grade N52 Magnets. This means better acceleration, stopping power, and sustained RPMs during high kv. This performance is supported by genuine Japanese NMB Bearings to provide long lasting, smooth performance.
This motor is a good match for the HQ 5x4x3 props available in our store.

Great motors ,very reliable and have a lot of power. I'm use to two different threads cw, ccw. These are gonna take some getting use to but it won't take long. Recommend them highly.
So far so good. Great little motors and so far quite durable!
I have these on a vortex 250 Pro ( I much prefer these than the stock vortex motors) and Just bought a new set from RR for my new Alien RR5. I always have run a CCW thread with a locknut and never have had an issue which I assume is why RR only sells CCW as well.
The different directions CW and CCW only refers to the threads. The reason for that is if you lose a CW (left to tighten) locknut you can't use any off the shelf locknut, you have to get a specific type. Sometimes it's hard to find.
My son and i could't wait for the day these famous RED BOTTOMS came in the mail. we layed everything out on the project mat and did the tear down of my 250... Lining up all the motors we realized we only had all ccw motors...." Do they come like that"? not charming likely i said ... somone screwed up..... Damn!!!! ow do i just build anyway and switch the wires and tighten the props really tight with a locknut or just order more motors .. like a couple of clockwise motors...I gues you can look at it like that ...you can never have too many motors right...ppft!! w/e... sorry for venting guys .. its just that we had waited for this delivery and lately the hobby gods have been against us.. first i couldn't bind a qx95 to my spektrum and this ordeal took a month or 2 then i guess they are gonna send me a brand new spektrum, i have a credit for the other build but i am still not in the air.... now this?? ugh!!
The ever famous red bottoms don't disappoint and being able to buy at a stellar price via the RR guys is as good as it gets. Packaged with love and even a few stickers thrown in, you can't beat it!
These motors are awesome! I'm running these with the purple bullet 30A emax escs, and it is the most responsive out of all the quads I've flown.
Ive currently bought 12 of these so far. These motors are excellent! Power, thrust, price, cant beat em! I have them on an Alien, and a qav210. Both fly amazing, nice punch outs.
Motors are great! Very fast and stay very cool! The Rotor Riot store also shipped very fast!
