The Hypetrain Ummagawd Motor is an Official Rotor Riot product, designed with direct input from Professional Pilot "Ummagawd" Tommy Tibajia.

V1.1-ezo Improvements:

  • Stronger Bell
  • EZO Bearings
  • Stronger Shaft Screw

Designed from the ground up with constant input from Tommy "Ummagawd" Tibajia, the attention to detail of the Hypetrain Ummagawd Motor sets it apart from the competition. Inspired by the iconic Rotor Riot logo, the Hypetrain’s three-spoke 7075 aluminum bell showcases the elegant silver coated wire wound over the orange stator.

We love stylish design - but performance is the priority. That’s why we thoroughly considered every aesthetic decision, to ensure that it would not negatively impact the performance of the motor. And just to be extra sure, every motor gets individually tested before it leaves the factory! This guarantees that each motor will not only look nice, but also perform well!

The “open bottom” style base allows for considerable weight reduction and improved cooling, and the revolutionary 16x16 mm mounting screw pattern opens up new design possibilities while still maintaining backwards compatibility with legacy frames. Moreover, we wanted it to have a set screw to hold the bell rather than a C-clip, to facilitate bell replacement!

fantastic motors, held up in many crashes and running smooth. i have these motors on the ummagawd remix frame. and video footage is clean on the 4s and 6s from what i have flown.

    Very Nice

Amazing low end, good mid slightly sub par highs (but made up for the ungowdly amounts of torque they create)

    Already have purchased again.

These motors seem very durable to me

Posted by Michael Bryan on May 22nd 2018

Of course everyone's experience will vary, but last weekend I was at the Detroit KwadCamp flying under a bridge with le drib and a few other folks and I power looped right into a cement pillar hard enough to break the Session mount on my newly built Remix and eject the GoPro! First time I ever ejected a GoPro! Also, one of the Ummagawd motors took a direct hit and has visible damage, but still spins freely. I showed it to Drew and his comment was, "does it still spin? then what's the problem?" So, I've continued to fly with this motor now that I'm back home with no vibration or jello in the HD footage! Like I said everyone's experience will vary, but I'm more than impressed. The original Hypetrain bells routinely separated in my experience, even with far milder crashes. A separated bell causes amazing amounts of vibration and jello even after attempting to press the bell back together. My smashed Ummagawd motor shows no signs of separation after a very hard crash. NOTE: these motors are the original ones, not the 1.1-EZO that are available now.

    Not durable

Broken 2 bells with the very first two lipos crashing to gates made of wood. Not suggested for someone looking for durable motors
