    unreliable

Posted by David Weigle on Apr 13th 2018

Bought two of them, first one worked fine after the initial build. Everything worked in beta flight, motors powered to max throttle. Next morning it wouldn't power on. The second one worked great after the initial build. Hovered in the driveway to test it out. Next day after two minutes of flying and a soft landing it quit working.

Spend your money on another F4 board. This one isn't dependable. Stopped working before it was even flown. No shorts - just stopped working.

Love how this board is laid out. Very easy to install. Josh's manual makes it nearly newb proof. Oh and BTW, It works too!!!!! Coming from an F3 to this thing is like night and day. Thank you Rotor Riot for carrying this board!!

    Bad board

I like the board layout, but it does not connect well with kiss ESC's and I have only flown it a handful of times and one ESC side of the board went out.

    This FC Bra

Posted by Logan Ilczyszyn on Dec 20th 2017

This FC is killer! The lay out is perfect for almost every build. The only single thing i have an issue with is the placement of the SD card slot for the black box. I run, along with many other builds out there, the power to the XT60 off the side of my quads; QAV-R, Alien, Chameleon, ect, and having the SD slot opposite of the USB makes you have to choose, do you block one or the other. Of course I'm going to leave the USB open. So every so often I'll have to take my FC off to accesses the SD slot to get my logs. Good thing I don't use them, to often. But man I hate having an option and not being able to do it whenever with out hassle. Other than that, this has everything I could want. I think I just have a few open unused UARTs. This makes for a SUPER clean build. I've even got my LEDs running on my arms, without having to do to much wiring. Haven't done that in 9 months. I also don't use telemetry for my 32 bit ESCs. But when I start to I hope the next version will have telemetry pads on the corners. Over all, you cant really beat this guy. It flies super smooth, Responds like an F4 should, and makes for an easy build and setup with the massive "book" that he wrote for it. Cant say enough about this. Get one! Or TWO!
