All I can say is awesome, well made flexible and strong. I purchased one and realized that I have another quad that this would fit. So now I have two, both are of high quality and really make the quad look good. I would recommend this even over some that you can print at home.
Fits my gopro hero 5 session really nice and snug.
Absolutely great! It securely mounts my GoPro session, has almost no jello, and after dozens of crashes (some UGLY ones), I am yet to eject the GoPro or break the mount. Compared to the stock GoPro mount, it's lighter, stronger, absorbs more vibration, more secure, the lens is better protected, and it never loses it's 30 degree orientation. In other words, it's vastly superior to the stock mount. I love it! For improvements, I don't know, maybe some other color options, or other angles? It's hard to say. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's hard to improve on that.
This mount has saved my husband gopro in a couple a crashes. We have a Blade conspiracy stealth and a vortex ummagawd and they both came with a mount a hero 4 and we couldn't get footage of his flights. He was able to mount this to both quads and it works great. He is really happy with this product.
A little black vinyl paint and its perfect, not a big fan of purple. Bought this for my Fusion frame to protect my camera, works excellent!
Wish the store had more color options; with the being said, if your ordering from R.R just add this to cart! I wrecked hard two times front of quad first, and this mount/ saved my session 5! I have it on a the butter kwad.
The first crash ripped through the washer, and machine screw. So I used two black zipties to secure it better, and it isn't going anywhere!
FYI the second crash destroyed my two front motors, broke the mounts on fpv cam (again lol). Gopro still like new!
I love this mount! I wanted one mainly because I wanted to support one of my favorite FPV all-stars and I needed a GoPro mount since mine was a piece of packaging foam & duct tape. I saw these available and got one as soon as they refreshed the webpage (not really). I have an Impulse RC Rotor Riot Alien, purchased here, so the mount is not made to fit my quad. WHO CARES. I used the screws and washers provided to attach the front end, and used a handy Rotor Riot battery strap to cinch down the back end.
This proves to not be the best Idea however -- my particular unit sustained a 200 foot plummet into shale & limestone resulting in the GoPro violently freeing itself from the battery strap. It slapped the ground breaking my Amobios screen protectors, but the Le Drib GoPro mount clearly took the brunt of the pressure which could have done more damage.
The material is soft and pliable yet conforms and "hugs" the camera so I am confident I wouldn't lose the camera from the mount. It is durable enough that cactus spines stick in it but do not puncture through at whatever speed I smash my quad into them. Obviously the rocks too. Terminal velocity... I need two in Kermit Green! 35 AND 45 degrees. PLEASE! ...And for the ImpulseRC Alien for that matter.
